First Community Champion Starter Pack

Many community members in villages cannot easily submit project ideas, fill online forms, follow project updates, or take part in public review through a website alone. Some people rely on meetings, paper forms, cyber cafés, or trusted local helpers. Without a field champion, Jamii Projects Hub could become too online-focused and leave out the people it is meant to serve. The platform needs one properly equipped Community Champion to help collect project ideas, assist with paper forms, support public participation, record field notes, and bring verified local information into the system.

Provide a starter pack for the first Community Champion in the Mbeere North pilot area. The starter pack will help the champion support field visits, paper intake, meeting records, project submissions, public participation, and follow-up reporting. Suggested items include a smartphone, power bank, monthly data support, printed forms, folders, stationery, scanning or printing support, transport support for field visits, basic training on Jamii workflows, and secure storage for paper records. The Community Champion will not approve funding, promise support, or act as a funder. Their role is to help collect accurate local information and assist community members who cannot easily use the app directly.
